Technical Description

This equipment was introduced to develop a model that predicts changes in molten steel composition during treatment by measuring, in real time, the gas composition of the off-gas generated during operation of the VOD/RH furnace facilities in the POSCO steelmaking process.

The analysis system includes the sampling and conditioning system for gas composition measurement, the analyzer system and the data processing system. For stable and accurate analytical operation, operation and system control settings by a professional engineer are required after a full overhaul.

POSCO steelmaking process: overhaul of the gas pumps installed in the analyzer (Prima Pro) of the AOD and RH off-gas analysis systems
